So very sorry to hear about Don. Praying his family finds peace and comfort in the days ahead. He was a good person.

It was very sad to hear of Don's passing.  I have know Don since elementary school so his passing is so poignant for me.  Like many other, I last saw Don at the 40th reunion with other Lynch "graduates".  May his family find comfort in his many friends of the years and know that they are not alone in feeling the great loss.  Blessing to the entire family.

Donny was one of the good guys. I remember back in high school, when I would sometimes talk crazy and say things like, "The Beatles will never break up. Or there is life on other planets." Donny would reply, "Oh, come on now, Evan." He will be missed by all of his family, classmates and friends.

It's hard to think of Donny no longer being with us. He was always such a energetic force. I hope his family will know and find some peace in that he was well thought of by his classmates. RIP! Your race is won.

I played on the NEHI football team with Don. He was great player and fun to be with. I also played many basketball games with Don at Roberts Youth Center. I always wanted to pick him so we had a good chance of winning. He will be missed.

I was told that Donnie really wanted to attend our 50th reunion! I am so sad that he won't be there. He will be missed dearly.  We will be sure to keep him there in spirit. I hope if you are on the fence about attending the reunion that you will consider it and be there for Donnie!

Don Balas, not just a great guy or a good athlete, but someone who had a presence about him that seemed to set him apart in the best sort of way.  Although I have not seen him since our last reunion, I feel the impact of the loss of an outstanding classmate.  May God wrap His Loving Arms of Comfort around Don's family & friends through Jesus, by the Power of His Spirit.  Amen.

I was shocked to hear about Donnie's passing. I must say I am very saddened I will not see him again. Donnie was a great guy and liked by all. Super athlete and a good friend. He always appreciated that I put the caption in the year book of him which said "Balas with another circus catch". Donnie was always fun and never let me take life too seriously. Its touching to see the outpouring of affection for him. Really good guy.  Rest in peace Donnie.
