Deceased Name: ROWENS , ROBERT GARDNER JR. "ROBBY
ROWENS, ROBERT GARDNER JR. "ROBBY," 49, of St . Petersburg , died Monday (Dec. 31, 2001) at home. Born in Cheverly, Md., he came here in 1959 from Aberdeen, Md. He was a 1971 graduate of Northeast High School and an avid sports fan. He worked as a maintenance man for the Lodge at Mainlands in Pinellas Park. He attended St . Peter's Episcopal Cathedral. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Margaret A.; a son, Richard C. "Rich," his mother, Barbara A. Rowens, and a sister, Deborah A. Oster, all of St . Petersburg ; a brother, Gary B. Rowens, Lake City; and two grandchildren, Christopher Rowens and Thomas Rowens, both of St . Petersburg . Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-McLeod Chapel, St . Petersburg .

Robby was also a neighborhood kid I grew up with.  I can remember his mother was blind, but she had eyes in the back of her head.  We couldn't get away with anything around her.  He was always good at making people laugh.   Robby, rest in peace my friend.  You will be sorely missed.
