WENDEL, Duane LeRoy, 55, of Tampa, died Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at Tampa. He was born September 1, 1953, in Lansing, Mich. He was an owner/operator of a Costume Shop, President of the National Costumers Association, and the winner of the Harrelson Award. He is survived by his life partner of 27 years, Joseph B. Stokes of Tampa; father, Ion LeRoy Wendel; mother, Vera Fay Wendel; and sister, Vicki Arcila of Dallas, Texas. Visitation will take place from 2-3 p.m., with services to follow at 3 p.m., Saturday, August 8, 2009, at the Purcell Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories, Webster, Fla.
