Ronald Moser
1953-2022

Ronald Joseph Moser, 68, of Waynesville, passed away on August 18, 2022. 

Born, October 5, 1953, Ronald was the son of the late John Joseph Moser and Nevin Elizabeth Moser. 

Left to cherish Ronald’s memory are his wife, Pam Moser; daughter, Elizabeth (Matt) Thompson; brothers, Jay (Linnie) Moser, Marty (Kathy) Moser, and Steve (Dorothy) Moser; grandson, Elias Thompson; along with numerous extended family and friends. Ronald enjoyed fishing, playing the banjo, and gardening. He worked for the Federal Government for many years and upon retirement, he became one of the founding members of the Haywood Waterways Association and served as Executive Director for 10 years as well as helping lead the organization for 13 years. Ronald loved his family dearly and enjoyed teaching and playing with his beloved grandson. 

A Celebration of Ronald’s life will be held at a later date. 

Memorials can be made to Haywood Waterways Association in Ronald’s memory.

So sorry to see this news! Many fond memories shared between us and other Vikings (Gary Swope and Clay Simmons come to mind at the moment). Rest in peace my friend!

I often connected with Ron while he was up in Gainesville, sitting on the porch of his house, playing banjo and enjoying the beauty of the countryside. Later on I connected with him while he was living in North Carolina and had some good visits. Good man, good father and husband. It was so sad to see that he had passed.
