so many fun times with Julie and

our "table gang".  Though we have lost contact over the years (too many to think about) we can all remember our time together at NEHI. And we have lost so many the past few years it makes you appreciate the friends you are able to stay in touch with even though scattered across the Country!
hope you are enjoying the here after with your family and friends who were waiting for you.

I remember Julia-Julie from way back at Riviera JH. She and several other classmates lived in the Patrician Point area off of 40th Avenue NE. Debbie Runcie, Cindy Clare and another girl named Cheri Henderson lived in this neighborhood. During the summer of 1967, my friend Donny Korb and I spent time with these girls. Donny liked Debbie Runcie. As I had a Yamaha motorcycle, I took Donny over to see Debbie. We also all went to the nearby Patrician Point pool. The girls wanted a ride on my mororcycle, but their parents forbid it. I can't blame them as motorcycles could be dangerous. But some of them snuck a ride anyway. They had a jukebox at the pool. Two popular songs that summer were The Turtles-Happy Together and Tommy James & The Shondells-I Think We're Alone Now. I always had spending money, so one day I rode off from the pool and bought these two records at the Eckerd Drugs in NE Shopping Center. I bought them for the girls to share. Right after 9th grade started, Cheri moved to California as her father was also a military man. Cheri returned the records to me as she was the last to have them. I still have these 45 records from that time. When we had our 40th NEHI reunion, I caught up with Julie. She remembered this fun summer. RIP Julie.
