Gloria Byrd (Mann)

 Kathy was one of the first people that I met when I transferred down here from Maryland in 9th grade at Riviera Junior High. We were both at orientation together and, from that moment on, we became fast friends. She was such a beautiful person both inside and out, in addition to being an inspiration to others with her quick wit, intelligence and calming demeanor. May you RIP my dear friend.....

I go back with Kathy also at Riviera JH. I came from the same area in Maryland as Kathy and Gloria Byrd Mann. I moved down a year before them. When I discovered that they were from the same area, we all became friends. So sad, though about Kathy passing away. I did see Kathy a few years ago at a Quaker State NEHI event. It was good to catch up with Kathy.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Kathy.  I also met her at Riviera Jr. High along with Gloria Byrd.  She was a beautiful person.  She had a quiet shyness about her and was very sweet.  She lived in my neighborhood so I saw her and some mutual friends often.  She was so easy to talk to and always had a smile.  I haven't seen her in years but always will have fond memories.  God Bless you Kathy!
