What have you been up to since you graduated?
After completing SPJC in 1973, I went to the University of Miami and earned a Bachelor Degree in Music Engineering. I got a job in a recording studio in South Florida, moved there, and proceeded to work with some amazing artists on some great music. I have worked in various studios all over the world, doing a job I truly love.
As the music industry changed in the late 80's, I began doing more sound for film, video, and television. I worked mostly for humanitarian relief organizations, which involved a considerable amount of travel, something I enjoyed immensely. I have been to Africa 4 times, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, and all through the United States.
After 28 years of married life, I got divorced, decided to try the country life, and moved to Calvary Georgia, leaving the South Florida area after 35 years. I became an optician, and retired in 2019. I now live in McKinney TX, married a wonderful woman, and we are enjoying life and retirement to the fullest.
My oldest son, Eric completed his Bachelor Degree in Accounting from UCF, and is currently employed in the health-care industry. My youngest, Kevin, graduated from UF, cum-laude with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Biomechanics, and went on to Georgia Tech to earn a Masters Degree in Bioengineering. He now works for a medical device company in Lafayette, IN. Being their father has been the greatest job ever, and they are, and always will be, my best friends.
